Just wanted to show you a few pictures of this year’s Christmas decorations. We have a tradition in Denmark to make our own Christmas Decorations, typical concept: candles and evergreen twigs, green and red colours.

This year we had no problem finding stuff to use for Christmas Decorations, because our backgarden is covered in fallout left by the extreme storms we’ve had, and since we have four spruce trees and a couple of larchs, there’s both twigs and entire branches plus an addition of cones lying around.

First I made what we call an Advent Wreath: four candles, one for each of the four Sundays before Christmas. I know, this is not technically a wreath, but I’m allowed some artistic liberty here. I also equipped the thing with some red LED lights.

It’s alright, I guess.

Then my wife took over, and made two really fine decorations, one with the traditional red/green concept and another with a sort of ice/silver concept.

Both of them voluptuous.

I like that.

Dangerous Neighbourhood

Go to the country, they said. Life’s easy and calm out there, they said.

Now, that I have lived in the country for a little more than a year, I can assure you it is not true. Life is very hard and dangerous out here.

The other day, I was standing in our backyard, minding my own business smoking a cigarette, when suddenly I noticed a peculiarity on the chimney of our next door neighbour’s.

Yeah, I know it seems like an ordinary chimney in that picture. But look at this enhancement, and I’m sure you’ll see what I’m talking about…

Yes, I was thinking the same thing as you: Is that DUCT TAPE?

Very risky, very daring, dangerous and stupid, keeping your chimney together with duct tape!
