One To Watch (Or Perhaps Not)

I don't normally write reviews on stuff, because I did this enough times when I was a professional, and, to be honest, I hated it. However, I do sometimes stumble upon a good piece.

The other night I had the exclusive pleasure of watching Movie 43.

It was like this: I was out in the garden doing something of great importance (probably smoking a cigarette) when I heard the characteristic sound of my wife screaming her lungs out from laughter. Now, my wife has a musically trained voice. I've heard her entertain entire cathedrals with no amplifying at all. And when she Laughs Out Loud, they can hear it in the next county.

Curious as I was, I went into the house and up the stairs to the TV room, still accompanied by bursts of laughter and giggling. And there she was, on the verge of pissing herself from watching this movie.

I sat down to see what it was. And it was… Well, Movie 43.

I shall refrain from further comments but I will say this: if you're easily offended by profanities, don't watch it, and it comes from the same producer as 'Dumb & Dumber', so the humour in it is by no measures subtle. I like that…

I think perhaps it is the ensemble cast that makes it so amusing. People like Richard Gere and Hugh Jackman in such moronic plots. It tickles my stupid muscles.

Here's my favourite scene from Movie 43. It made me Laugh Out Loud. Around seven times (give or take).

Johnny Knoxville and Seann William Scott as the stereotypical dude buddies they've played on many occasions, and Gerard Butler as the leprechaun brothers. Fuckin' hilarious…
