Well, technically it was my wife who used the car wash. I was just casually standing outside, smoking a cigarette, minding my own business. Then it suddenly occured to my how interesting the place actually was, and I just had to take a picture.Originally posted by crookedfig:

As suggested – just above – my wife was actually with me on this occasion. That's how I am. I like to take my wife out to interesting places, and share the experience with her.:D

I like a guy who knows how to treat a woman.

  8. FlaRin says:

I must say that is a particularly well presented car wash operation. Exciting. Inviting. Fresh. Colourful. Indeed, worthy of a day out. And the bonus is that you get your wheel trims clean too!

  9. Aqualion says:

…and if you go there before 9.30 in the morning, you get the Gold Wash for the price of the Regular Wash! It's so reassuring to know how much they care and how far they'll go in their eager to please you.

  10. FlaRin says:

Thatr settles it! Now, all I need is a car…

  11. Spaggyj says:

Wow. I'm surprised you had time to blog 😉

Actually, I don't have much free time these days, because we are moving big time. However, I need a break from the packing once in a while, and I'm more or less fed up with television, Facebook is  and my PS3 has not been properly installed yet 😥 so I really have no choice but to blog.

  13. Spaggyj says:

Why are you moving? Is it to the cottage place thingy?

Yes, it is. There's a post coming up about it, probably by some time today. It seems I have some time off tonight. And since the car's all shiny and clean, I don't have to go to the car wash. Might as well do a post on current events.

  15. Spaggyj says:

cool, looking forward to it 😀

Did you take your car, or use it as a shower?

  17. FlaRin says:

It's the being sprayed with wax part at the end of the process that tends to stop me using them as a shower.

  18. FlaRin says:

You could wear a bikini – that might save your sensitive areas from the unwanted tickling. I've found that being wax-coated is a terrible handicap in those more intimate moments with one's partner.

  19. Aqualion says:

It's more the Special Undercoat Cleansing that stops me from such experiments… I'm terribly sensitive to tickling in some parts…

  20. Aqualion says:

That and the fact that it's almost impossible to take a nap on one's leather sofa without ending op on the floor, and if the floor is recently waxed as well, you'd end up under the dinner table. No, it's Regular Treatment for me, if you please.

  21. FlaRin says:

Just the plain wash and rinse. I fully understand

  22. qlue says:

I use dish washing liquid. :left:What? I have oily skin ok! 🙄

  23. FlaRin says:

    …and because you're worth it! 🙂

  24. Aqualion says:

I once put a griddle with chicken wings into a dish washer, mistaking it for a microwave. It was in a friend's apartment, and I was really drunk. I even turned the bloody thing on. Fortunately the hose was not attached to the tap, so the machine just started beeping.

  25. FlaRin says:

There is, somewhere, a 'recipe' (more like 'instructions') for cooking a whole Salmon in the dishwasher. And, even more ridiculous, a method of cooking sausages on a 2 bar electric fire. 🙂

  26. qlue says:

Anyone cooked trout on the manifold of their car recently? 🙄

  27. qlue says:

Well, there's always the African way!

  28. FlaRin says:

Not recently, I must admit. 🙂 Fuel Injection gets in the way, I've found.

  29. Aqualion says:

Back when I worked in media we'd coak 'meals' on a toaster – the open grille type. We shared the second floor of an office building with a variety of small enterprises. None of them would work at nights, so our common kitchen- and canteen facilities would be locked up after hours. So when we worked at night we would cook using the coffee machine and the toaster.

  30. FlaRin says:

I once worked with a girl – sweet, but not a great cook – who tried making a toasted cheese & tomato sandwich in one of those upright toasters with slots – and was surprise when the cheese melted out, burned on the elements and the toaster was ruined .

Yes, I've known people like that! :rolleyes:They usually have other skills, but their place is most definitely not in the kitchen! :p

  32. garlingmatthews says:

She could have put the toaster on it's… side… leaving the kitchen, backing away slowly.

  33. Aqualion says:

Death by toaster. Very clever. You can even time it.- I've prepared a… surprise for you darling.- You're such a romantic.

  34. FlaRin says:

Death by Toaster it shall be!! That should *so* be a routine by Eddie Izzard!!
